    Projectile Sweating

I keep getting projectile sweating from 3G. I have refilled the reservoir 3 times and he still projects.

    Any suggestions?

    See attachment for pic.

     Thanks

    Hello Wendy,

For issues that I need resolved pretty quickly I call Tech Support, but with this issue I can wait for a reply from a Laerdal rep or someone else who has had this issue as well, as this is not a problem that needs to be fixed at once.

    Thank you for your direction.

    Re: Projectile Sweating

To Tech Support or anyone else who is having trouble with pressure of fluid (minus blood, which has its own control) in 3G.

I was having trouble with the flow of fluids (too much pressure out of one port, see above pic) in the 3G while in the sweating mode. I suggest you refer to page 52 of the SimMan 3G ‘Direction for Use.’

The instructions are title ‘Unclogging Fluid Tubes,’ but the instructions can be used to adjust the force of flow coming out of the 3G, worked great for my problem.

Only hiccup I had was the instructions in the book listed the wrong port for sweat, not a problem; just be aware when making adjustments to test it before putting 3G back together.

    Have a great day!

    Re: Projectile Sweating

Hi, we got our new 3G set up last week, and as refered to above, page 52 of the "Directions for use" shows how to adjust all the flows for eyes, ears, etc. Most important though is in the "Overview of Tube Restrictors" section, The numbers that show which tube restrictor is which  start with # 1: Air Froth and go through # 6 Nose.

The numbers need to be reversed ( per our technician the book was printed incorrectly) Air Froth is # 6 down to nose # 1

    Hope this helps Dorothy

    Re: Projectile Sweating

I just read this problem as we have just purchased the new SimMan 3G. The 3g has adjustments in the neck for each water port. There is an Allen Wrench that comes with 3g that fits the adjustments and there is a diagram in the manual that shows which adjustment controls which water port.

Even late, I hope this helps someone.

The Southeast apparently has the best tech in the US!  Elbert showed us how to do that during installation and had us take turns making those adjustments.  I feel sorry for the rest of the world.  Elbert- you are the best!!!
