    ALS Simulator

    Hi,

I am looking at purchasing a ALS Simulator with the Vitalsim for it, we are a small rural hospital and ambulance and want a mannikin for training that we can afford.   Has anyone used this model to be able to comment on its abilitys and durability?  It looks good in the brochures and is at the price I can afford.

     Thanks, Cory

    Hi Cory,

I've been using the ALS Simulator and Vitalsim for about 6 months. We're also rural, in southeastern Indiana. I've found it very useful and durable for my paramedic classes. I'm just now working on writing my own scenarios. Best of luck.

    Re: ALS Simulator

    Hi,

I've been using the ALS-Simulator für about 2 years now, for in-hospital and pre-hospital training. I'm very fond of this simulator, because from all the models currently available on the market, this one definitely offers the best deal from the price-perferomance point of view. Only drawback are the high costs for replacement parts, especially here in Germany (i.e. 320 Euros for the chest-skin....), but apart from that, the thing can't be beaten.
