Simpad linkbox blinking - won't start

I have a linkbox that just has one light blinking slowly, which should indicate it is starting, but it won't fully start.  It worked ok for several weeks but now it doesn't. I tried to put on the latest update, but since it won't start, it won't update.  Is there a way to do a hard reset?  Any other ideas?

    Thank you.

If you haven't already tried doing so, unplug all batteries from the LinkBox and leave them unplugged for about a minute. With the batteries still unplugged push and hold the power switch for a couple of seconds.  Then release the power switch and connect a charged battery and try powering on the LinkBox and see if it works.  This is just a guess on my part as I have not personally experienced the problem you describe but sometimes electronics gets into a funky state and completely removing power from it allows it to reset. Good luck and please post the solution when you find one.

we have had a similar problem here. I can suggest a solution. But first an explanation as far as I understand.

The linkboxes on startup recognise which hardware is attached to them and configure themselves accordingly.

IF the hardware is even remotely wonkily connected, the linkboxes get confused and refuse to start. Some linkboxes are more sensitive to this than others.

Making absolutely sure that any attached hardware is properly connected and the pins are not bent and the connector screws are screwed up etc etc seems to alleviate the problem.

IF your linkbox is happy to start with nothing attached to it, but reluctant to start when attached to hardware, it may well be the hardware connections informing the linkbox are not 100%

Otherwise, I suggest hurling it into a gigantic burning bin... or contacting support

Did you resolve this issue? I just experienced it with SImNewB. It was working fine when the blinking occurred. I tried several hard starts without success.
