    Sim View Server Concerns

To protect our content on our server, I'd like to know what antivirus software would be most useful for our systems. We are running Windows server 2012, and understand that windows defender comes prepackaged with it. However, is this enough protection? Thanks for taking the time to read.

    Re: Sim View Server Concerns

    Hi Kyle,

Protecting your server is like protecting your self, Windows Defender is a built-in Windows anti-virus with limited applications. You can use any 3rd party anti-virus (like Escan, Kasperzky),  look for an anti-virus which has multiple application to offer, like dos base scanning, ethernet monitoring, firewalls etc. but this comes with high price value.

Make sure to review the pre-requisite of the SimView before installing your 3rd party anti-virus.

Still best practice is to scan your external pen drive first before you plug-in it to the server.
