I am wondering if anyone has any suggestions on how to efficently manage inventory specifically the day-to-day items.  I am not to keen on the idea of micromanaging every alcohol wipe and 4x4 used, but I do need to track the usage in some manner.  ANybody using a computer based inventory type system or other?

I work for SLCFD and we use a computer system called IOS.  I think you can contact them directly to get a license, we recieved our license through Henry Schein Matrx Medical.  They are a good sized medical supply company with a local address in West Jordan.  They gave us the IOS license for free.  Try calling Ryan Clark 800-718-3002.  The computer system has helped me, although there are some things I wished it did that it does not or I do not know how to do.
