Hi,

Has anybody had a problem recording audio onto the debreifing session? I have looked everywhere (i think!) and i cant seem to get an audio input from the mic to the server, can anybody please help?

Hi Jon,

 on the back of your AVS you will see the input-interface with 8 Inputs. Typically there are 5 Inputs hanging free, 4 Inputs for Video-Signals and one for Audio. This one is named AID1. You have to connect this with the output of your audio-mixer.

 thanks for your reply, i seem to have everything connected although we are not using a mixer just a server rack with 1 mic and 3 cameras. I am lost with this one!! It looks like a job for the chaps at laerdal!!

Hi Jon

 There are two types of audio signals, "Line in" and "Mic". The difference is the signal strength, line in is much stronger signal. The AVS needs the line in signal. Most microphones are using the mic signal. There are small audio-mixer that converts the mic signal to line in signal.

 If you turn the volume up very high you might hear a low audio, if so the signal you have is not a line in signal, but the mic.
