Increasing Mechanical Ventilation Fidelity of the Laerdal SimMan 3G

Hi everyone. We have found a solution to increase how well the 3G works with a ventilator. This is our video submission for the DIY video contest for Sim GHOSTS 2012. Enjoy!

Hi Brian, I am very interested in the modification you made and am wondering if it can help one of my customer. They made scenario for anesthetists and worked with a ventilator. When they increased airway resistance to simulate a bronchospasm, the air leakage increased and that made people think there is a material problem with the respirator. If I understand well your video, that should help.

    Thanks,

Brian's video is great.  And the mod is helpful.

We are still not getting the response we want with 3G on a ventilator.  We want some more PEEP.  Has anyone had any luck?  Has anyone had better response (or heard of) with either of the other hi-fi simulators?
