    Sim man not breathing

My sim man is not breathing.  The link box is blinking red.  I tried all the connections - they all seem to be connected.  I tried updating the sim man but it did not detect the mannikin or anything else.  Any ideas for what else to try?  Thank you. All suggestions are much appreciated.

    Hi Lori,

First of all, the red light on the LInk Box should be a solid red (not blinking) when your computer is connected to the SimMan software....and it's up and running. So you may need to reboot your computer or at least exit out of the SimMan software..and then open it again.

Second, be sure that the compressor is turned off. Then turn the red knob (Drain) clockwise to release any remaining compressed air. Return the red knob to the original (vertical position). I usually turn the compressor on after I start the process of opening the SimMan software. But I don't turn the blue "air" knob (middle) clockwise until the software has fully opened ....and is running. Hope this helps!

Try going into device manager on the computer and delete the com port, then restart computer. It will reinstall com port and should help.

    1. Be sure you have drained the compressor! Turn off, then turn top red knob (drain) clockwise so that it's horizontal.

    2. Exit out of SimMan software. Perhaps reboot your computer. Open this software....I usually turn the compressor on at this time. Then after SimMan software has fully opened....and you see "healthy patient" running, turn the middle knob (blue - air) clockwise (horizontal). Hopefully this will help!
