    SPO2 hookup for SimJunior

Hello.  We do not have a place for the O2 to connect to the link box with Junior.  If there is one, we cannot find it.  We do not use the SimPad, only the PC. Do any of y'all have any idea as to how to connect a SPO2 monitor to the link box?

If you are using the Laerdal Program on the laptop (Similar configuration as SimBaby/SimMan/SimMom) to control SimJunior, then all you should need is the USB adapter that the Pulse Ox probe plugs into.  Then just plug that into the instructor PC that you are using to control SimJunior.

You can see it pictured in Laerdal Part number 212-17050

     Hope that helps!

We tried to connect the Pulse Ox probe to the instructor PC.  It did not work.  We did use the USB adapter.  We are not sure why but the instructor PC is not detecting the device.  All other USB products are detected.  We have tried several different adapters that we use for other manikins as well with no luck.  Do you have any other suggestions?

If you have a SImMan 3g or Essential, installed on the instructor's PC is a folder with the drivers for the USB adapter.  Perhaps reinstalling the adapter from scratch may help.  The USB drivers are located at:

    "C:\Program Files (x86)\Laerdal Medical\SimMan3G\DeviceDrivers\SpO2ProbeInterface"

    I'd give that a shot.
