    Sim Man leg

Anyone had any issues? Our sim man's leg keeps popping off. Have requested a replacement rod from Laerdal but they won't supply anything but the whole leg, compressors and all.

Which model manikin? I have a home brew fix for an ALS Simulator that may work for the other manikins with right leg plumbing.

I would first ensure the nut was properly placed and tightened.  Then inspect the threads on the bolt and the nut.  I suspect the bolt is custom but can likely be ordered (disassembly of the compressor leg is slow but very possible) Note... if you are on the extended warranty plan, this mayhaps isn't a good idea.  If the nut is the issue I would measure it and simply buy a new one.

If it is the nut just coming on screwed, try getting some teflon tape (in the plumbing department at Lowe's or Home Deport cost about a $1), and wrapping that around the threads of the screw, then screwing the nut on.  This will allow it to be a little tighter, and not slip off as easily.
