• Re: simman & simpad linkbox

Hello, Through Laerdal's website you can still access the original SimMan link box for the 15-pin hook up. Product #380100. Even with the link box, I doubt it will hook up to the SimPad but with the software it will hook up to the simulator. Hope it helps.

  • Re: Warmer and SimNewB

We also keep our NewB in a warmer unit; however, we also do not allow it to be turned on. We use the light, but no warmer element...I worry that it may melt our baby. Other aspects of our warmer are used, such as, the APGAR timer, the bed adjustments, etc. Hope it helps.

  • Manikin speaker noises

Hello, Has anyone else dealt with the issue of manikins having static-type speaker noises? We have had it happen with a few different simulators, at different times, and in different places within our lab area. It has happened with our SimMom & NewB. Just wondering if we are the only ones. We think it may be a link ...

We only use distilled water and diluted blood concentrate, as recommended by Laerdal.

  • Re: Ratio of Sim hours to clinical hours in nsg programs

Hi Teresa, In our nursing program, one hour of simulation is equal to one hour of clinical - they are equal. Ours is a 1:1 ratio.

  • Re: CPR with LLEAP

Thank you, Dawn. You are basically confirming what I already thought. It will be a work in progress. I agree; in time, a handler would be the best option.

  • CPR with LLEAP

Hello, Recently we were running codes on-the-fly with 3G and Essential. When the students were finished, the instructors could not get the patient to come back to life. This happened with both manikins. We had to reboot them in order to get them to revive. This happened every time they put them into asystole. Our 3G and ...

  • Re: Need O Rings for air hose

My suggestion would be to take one of your old ones with you and check at local hardware stores. If they don't have what you need, they may be able to lead you to someone else who may.

  • Re: Hello! Moulage and SimMan 3g

I like to use a layer of white school glue as a barrier under makeup. It dries clear, protects the skin, and aids in easier clean up. To remove most residual makeup I use Goo-Gone. I also found that Goo-Gone will remove old yellowing from iodine/betadine stains on the skin. For simple moulage I like to use actual makeup - blush, ...

  • Re: Voice changing software

Hi Fran, I did a search for ''voice changing software'' on the Internet and found many free downloads: MorphVox (for Mac), ScreamingBee, Audio4fun, and Fakevoice - to name a few. I was just hoping that someone else had already been using one that worked well with the Laerdal program. Thanks for the reply.
