• Re: Using Non-Laerdal Computers with LLEAP

Hyoung, We use non Laerdal computers. The LLEAP software has specifications on what the minimum requirements are. However, the touch screen function we have not gotten to work at all. I would load up one (remember, you will have to purchase a LLEAP license for each one. OR disable a license off a laerdal unit and put ...

  • Re: Sim Man leg

I would first ensure the nut was properly placed and tightened. Then inspect the threads on the bolt and the nut. I suspect the bolt is custom but can likely be ordered (disassembly of the compressor leg is slow but very possible) Note... if you are on the extended warranty plan, this mayhaps isn't a good idea. If the nut is the ...

  • Re: ALS simulator chest rise update?

MSnavely, Hey, we have not needed to do this but we have used the laerdal simman models for about 15 years and as the guts are likely very similar I would put money that a Simman compressor would be your huckleberry. They also make an adapter so any compressor can be ''backed down'' to it but these are one ebay for not to much ...

Hello, Have you tried turning it off and back on again (joke). I'm guessing this resolved or your got a new computer. -Dave

  • Re: Sim baby compressor

Hello! The good news is you won't really hurt the sim baby. So after you are done simply turn off the compressor and turn the top switch till you hear the air come out. The bad news is you probably have a bad O-ring in your airline (unhook the couplings to the compressor/manikin and look at the rubber ring, if ...

  • Re: SimBaby/SimMan won't communicate with Zoll monitor

Mike, Just to run down the easy stuff. Turn it off and back on... (that one is a joke) Remove and reinstall Simman software on the PC. Simman, remove motherboard, then plug everything in again and fire her up. Force and update on the manikins and the link boxes. Open em up and make sure the connections are ...

  • Re: Noobie Question

Bill, A handler will only perform its one action thoughout the entire simulation (introduction in this case). The best thing for you to do is create a state box with the next verbal/patient state in them and put the action (radial pulse check) in as the event that changes to the next patient state. This can be repeated as ...

  • Re: Simulating BP... measuring with digital cuff

I would apply the KISS technique. I am assuming the device sends the information to a phone or tablet device. When they use the blood pressure cuff text or message them the current BP in the scenario. (a messaging program can likely be added to your sim tablet once you get the admin password from laerdal)

  • Re: SimMan3G

Mark, We have used a VT 1 Boss device (hard to find, 400-600 bucks) for this in the past. It is a non software solution that you utilize pre PC audio input. It does work great but it took us about a year to find (apparently very hard to impossible to descramble the voice and hackers/unsavory people were using it to do hacker/unsavory ...
