Nevermind. I found the solution and reported it on this thread: http://simulation.laerdal.com/forum/forums/thread/2204.aspx
Thanks anyway.

With Laerdal Techsupport I found the solution to our inverted video playback problem: when we received our new AVS systems, we didn't receive the newest Video Client software. The current version is 1.2 and we were using the 1.1.1 video client. They are sending me the updated discs, so all should be well from here.

BjΓΈrge,
I am having a problem with playback of the files that have been directly recorded via the AVS Video Client (not through SimMan software/Debriefing Software). We are recording student assessments that will ultimately be used to assign a grade. The problem is that the video is playing back upside down and inverted (left is right ...

Carlos,
I have been having a problem with the raw H.264 video that the video client encodes the video to when just recording directly from the video client, rather than in tandem with SimMan/Baby client software. We are trying to record our students making a general patient assessment for the purposes receiving a grade on thier ability to ...

Juri,
I have been able to plug a keyboard into the Elo monitor at the bedside and enter keyboard strokes, and then use the touch monitor features for mouse control. As long as you are able to avoid the patient monitor from asserting its dominance to the screen, it should work fine. Again, this would only be a solution if you did not ...

I'm glad you found the problem.

The most likely problem is that the mask is not obtaining a good seal. Also, check the lungs (non-compressed air pair, used for CPR and bag-mask functions); Although they work fine with intubation, it might be that they have worked loose since you tried the intubation: I know that is a long shot, but worth considering.

Tracey,
I'm sorry that you have been having difficulty. As you know two important components to the proper communication of video server and simulator client software is the network connection, and the ports used to partition out the signals between computers. I suspect that your network performance is the most likely culprit.
You ...

Dee,
I'm sure that you have since found a solution to using a bluetooth handheld (Windows Mobile, not Palm, right?). I have purchased a Toshiba compatible bluetooth dongle that I have inserted into the remote patient monitor at bedside. This way the range of the bluetooth can reach the control room via the USB extension plugged into ...

I use air supply from the headwalls in our skills labs.
The context of this part of the forum is for the SimMan 3G. Other than standard 02 patient interventions, air is not needed for the SimMan3G. However, if you are indeed referring to a standard SimMan, then you will need to have a regulator (Laerdal sells these) designed ...
