  • crackles when running debrief software or videoclient

Hi, As soon as we start the debrief software or the videoclient we hear crackles. These are quite annoying and there's nothing we can do to make them stop, apart from stopping the software. It seems that the software is processing something and runs through the soundcard (i don't know if that makes sense). We only encounter these sounds with ...

  • Looking for 1-way communication recommendations...

Hi everyone, We often have nurse 'plants' in our scenarios that we give an earbud to so we can communicate with them privately (not to disrupt the sim). Unfortunately our system is a bit cheap / bulky / confusing for some users - and I am looking to upgrade. I have tried searching to see what types of units backstage broadway / theatre people ...

  • New Technology makes Efforts easier in the Control Room

Allow me to apologize first of all, for my tendency to elaborate in excess.  I know your time is valuable, and that quick snippets is often the preferred format for entering into these discussions.  However, if your time is short, I recommend that you print out my extended posts (if the topic is of interest to you), and review them at a ...

  • Exporting / Playing Video from Scenario Debrief File

****UPDATE***** Installing codec Windows Media Player Filter v4.6.0.5.exe does allow me to watch camera1.mp4, HOWEVER, as Carlos Kok suggests below, this only produces a codec for CAMERA ONE. Can we get a list of all necessary codecs? Then this will all be quite easy. The codec can be downloaded from:  ...

  • Re: Touchscreen monitors misbehaving

A couple notes from troubleshooting I've done with other SimCenters and now my current locale:  If you have a designated ''control area'' where the laptop sits seperate from the mannequin itself, it is quite possible that the wires run through the walls and ceiling between the laptop & linkbox are faulty.  Or worse yet, may have ...

  • Re: Debrief audio problem

What version of SimMan software/debriefing software are you using? This problem seemed to disappear for us when we reinstalled the software (actually upgraded to v3.2) AND updated our webcam drivers. Some weird interaction between the webcam and the SimMan software is my best guess. Hope that helps, was driving us crazy... Randy

  • Re: Debrief audio problem

Dan If you are using the Logitech web camera you may need to update to their latest drivers.  You probably want to run this by Laerdal Tech Support as well.
